Bringing Affordable Housing to Boston

Bringing Affordable Housing to Boston

Imagine being uprooted from your home and neighborhood because you can no longer afford to live there. It's happening throughout the country, including in Own Up's backyard -- Boston. At Own Up, we value honesty, transparency, and doing what's right for the customer in everything we do. That's why we're thrilled to be working with the Fenway Community Development Corporation to help bring affordable housing to the Fenway neighborhood in Boston.

Fenway CDC works to acquire buildings that are at risk of becoming market-rate apartments and as a result, would displace current residents. Most recently, we acquired over 97 housing units that will become affordable housing for the neighborhood's current residents. Due to Fenway CDC's incredible work, more than 600 residents have been able to stay in affordable homes and receive housing-related services. To read more about their work and its impact on the community, you can read their 2018 annual report.

We're excited to grow our partnership with them to make a positive impact in the affordable housing space. We'll continue to work everyday to cut through the establishment and connect with people who need it most.
